For Android phone and mobile device users, finding and using the right browser makes all the difference in the world especially if you like browsing on your tab and want to coordinate the history, links and favorites on your personal computer or laptop. Web browsers now makes it easy for you to ‘favorite’ a link that you browsed on your phone or mobile device and then have it available on your laptop later on when you are back at work in your office.
There are dozens of fantastic web browsers out there in the Android market but let’s just say that not all of them are created equal. Based on users’ experiences and their feedback, we can conclude that there are better ones and then there are forgettable ones.
In the Android world, people seem to like Firefox a whole lot. Well, just a little bit more than they like Chrome. And it is also the first Android web browser to take off the BETA tag off. When you use Firefox as your web browser on your phone, you can actually import and sync all of your favorites and passwords onto all of your other devices. It is, as some have noted, the first Android web browser that fully supports the privacy-protecting Do Not Track. To top it all off, it supports Personas and also the add-ons which is pretty important for people who want to make their lives easier when surfing on the tab, phone, computer and laptops. It just syncs everything right up.
As for Chrome, it is crazy fast if you are using phones and tabs with Ice Cream Sandwich operating system! As with Firefox, you can sync everything right up on all of your devices whenever you log on and it is completely, completely, COMPLETELY optimized for mobile devices…that is the advantage it has over Firefox, the speed. However, for those using Honeycomb and Gingerbread may not have the same experience and I am unsure about whether you can even download the browser app onto your mobile device. Share your experience if you know anything about it.
Other top browsers for Android includes the Dolphin, Boat and Opera. Android lovers all seem to agree that they really prefer the Dolphin HD and Mini browser because of the sheer number of options that it presents. Known as the grandfather browser of mobile devices, it has come a long way. If you like things blazing fast, there is the Mini. For those who prefer things a little fancier, then there is the HD version.
So, what is YOUR preferred Android web browser? Please do share your opinion and experience with us.
