However, you might want to give your customers something fresh every time they scan your QR code. This is actually easier said than done. For one, where do you get a steady supply of videos for your campaign? If you are planning to run your campaign for a week, you would need to have at least seven videos prepared, which could be a little costly. Now if you are planning to run a campaign for a month or a quarter, that will be more of a problem.
You might want to take cue from Raaw Foods International. The company produces juices from fruits and vegetables and they are using a QR code to give their customers a new video every day. Therefore, whether you are at the store or at home you can scan the QR code and view something new daily.
The company is teaming up with YouTube for this by using videos submitted by YouTube users. Every April and August, YouTube users participate in an event called Vlog Every Day in April (or August, as the case may be). If their video is selected by Raaw Foods and featured on its QR code campaign, the YouTube user would get a grocery bag that they can reuse along with discount coupons.
The QR code takes you to a mobile page that automatically brings a new video up to the top of the playlist daily, making it possible for the QR code to resolve to only one URL, instead of having to change it daily.
The Raaw Foods campaign only shows that you do not have to spend a lot of money for interesting content. You can always crowdsource your content, or have people create it for you in exchange for a prize or a reward if their work is used.
