QR codes are really making life so much easier for everyone. One of the biggest advantages of using QR codes has always come from being able to do things simply and without any fuss.
When it comes to conferences, QR codes are very useful in making things very simple and convenient for attendees. For instance, a conference attendee no longer has to carry around a lot of business cards in order to network with new people. All they have to do is to stick a QR code on to their name tags. If they meet somebody who wants to get their contact details, all he or she has to do is to scan the QR code. The QR code will enable him or her to download your contact details straight to their smartphones!
QR codes are also very helpful when it comes to registration. Instead of taking time for conference attendees to write down their names, organization and getting their IDs, they simply scan a QR code that they have. The organizer could give them the QR codes upon registration, and these QR codes could be printed out by the attendee. When they get to the venue, they only have to get the QR code scanned and they are registered. In fact the registration process could be automated. You just have to set up kiosks where people could scan their QR codes, register and have their name tags printed.
Another way to make life easier for conference attendees is when you sell books, tapes, DVDs and other products. Once an attendee buys these, they will need to carry it around with them or run back to their hotel rooms to leave these. With a QR code affixed to sample products, your attendees can just scan the QR code, pay for it and have it delivered to their homes, offices or hotel rooms at a later time.
