Small business owners know that they need all the marketing that they can get. It brings in sales, allow people to know about them and even introduce these businesses to new customers.
A relatively exciting field right now is mobile marketing, which is both very affordable and very effective right now.
QR codes top the list of mobile marketing tactics that you should use. It is very easy to generate, free to use and it can be used for just about any marketing you already have. You can put a QR code on your business card to make it easier for people to call you. You could put QR codes on marketing posters, or even tie it up with other mobile marketing strategies you have. All you need is to come up with great content that you could wow your customers with.
What other mobile marketing strategies could you try?
Location-based check ins. Encourage your customers to use Foursquare, Facebook and Google+ to check into your store or restaurant. Then give them rewards for checking in such as discounts, deals and other incentives.
Social media marketing. Have your customers like your Facebook page or follow you on Twitter. This is a good way for you to keep in touch with them with future offers and deals and product announcements.
Go local. There are local listings that you should check out too. For example, Yahoo! and Google both have local listings that could help you be found when customers search for your products or business.
Review sites. Encourage your customers to leave reviews on Yelp, Judysbook, Google and Yahoo. This will help encourage other people to try out your business.
Develop a mobile app. A good way to keep your customers tuned into your business is to offer them a good mobile app that they can use. For example, if you sell bread, consider creating an app that would give them recipes and other stuff they could do with bread.
