LinkedIn has just launched version 4.0 of their own app and iOS and Android users can now use it. You do not have to fire up your browser, tap LinkedIn.com and log in, you can go straight to the app and network with other professionals easily and quickly!
LinkedIn is known as the social network site for business professionals. If Facebook is where you keep in touch with friends and family, LinkedIn has a more business-oriented purpose. You could get in touch with people you’ve worked with, or find people in a certain company who could become a contact for you and your business. It currently has 120 million users, so whether you are looking for former colleagues or a contact within a particular industry, you can find them easily on the site.
The mobile app opens to your update stream, with links conveniently placed on top. You can check updates from people within your network, as well as the latest news from a newly-launched service called LinkedIn Today. You can also check out your Inbox for all your messages and invitations, all conveniently in one place. Check into Your Network to help you interact with the various groups you have set up or expand your connections and network with the People You May Know section.
Lastly, if you ever want to check how your profile looks like, check out the You section to view it. In this section, you can also update your status and share it with your network.
These four sections are all conveniently accessible from one page, using an interface that is not only intuitive, but beautiful too.
We surely love the new additions like the People You May Know feature:
And we think it is great that the people behind this app made everything simpler to do and use!
Admittedly, there are some features we miss, but the app is a good alternative for accessing your LinkedIn profile on the go!
